Beyond being a place to access information resources and participate in programs, The Community Library also provides patrons with a safe, climate-controlled space to relax, browse, study, work, or hold meetings. In fact, libraries are one of the few indoor public environments left where the everyone is invited to visit and spend time without having to spend any money.
We provide desks and tables for the public in our Children’s Room, the Pine Room, and in the adult nonfiction section on the library’s second floor. In addition, we have comfortable recliners on the first and second floors with additional chairs and a couch in the Teen Zone upstairs.
Three rooms may be reserved for larger gatherings:
- the study room: a small room with a conference table seating six
- the community room: a long, narrow room with two conference tables seating 14 total, along with a sink, microwave, and small refrigerator
- the program room: the basement room featuring a tile floor, seven large work tables, over 40 chairs, and a small carpeted area featuring a large screen television and projection screen
To reserve one of these rooms for yourself or your group, speak to a library staff member at the main circulation desk on the first floor. You may download a copy of our room reservation form here or ask for one at the main desk.
